NEW JERSEYANS PESSIMISTIC ABOUT STATE ECONOMY
More than eight-in-ten New Jersey residents feel that their state is experiencing ‘bad times’ economically, according to the latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll. This is a major increase from a year ago when about half said the state was in an economic downfall. Looking into the future, one-in-three New Jerseyans are optimistic that economic conditions in the state will take a turn for the better the next year.

THE GULF WAR: VIEWPOINT FROM NEW JERSEY
The War in the Gulf receives support from more than 8-in-l0 New Jersey residents. In addition, a similar percentage feel that the war is going well right now for the United States. However, state residents do not agree on the main reason why the United States is fighting in the Persian Gulf.

BRADLEY LEADS WHITMAN IN THE HOMESTRETCH
Bill Bradley, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator, has a 17 point lead over his Republican opponent Christine Todd Whitman going into Tuesday’s election. Bradley has stronger support from Democrats than Whitman receives from Republicans and is favored by Independents.
