New Jerseyans Haven’t Heard Much About State Budget, Divided on Corporate Business Tax Expiration and School Funding
Most New Jerseyans have little knowledge of the state's proposed budget for fiscal year 2024, yet many have opinions about what is in it, according to the latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll. Three-quarters of New Jerseyans say they have seen or heard little (23 percent) or nothing at all (53 percent) about New Jersey’s proposed state budget. Four percent say they have heard a lot about the state budget, and 16 percent say they have heard some of the proposal.

N.J. Poll Finds Residents’ Wellbeing, Demographics Shape Perceptions of Health Inequities
In New Jersey—one the healthiest, wealthiest, most diverse states—residents with greater privilege and access to opportunities not only lead healthier lives but also are less likely to acknowledge that systemic factors including racism and discrimination contribute to poor health. A recent poll among about 2,500 New Jerseyans by the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling at Rutgers University for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) reveals significant differences in perceptions of health equity. Just as a combination of personal experiences, race, gender, income, education, location, and other factors determine health in New Jersey, so too do they influence public awareness and perception of health inequities and their causes.

Majority of New Jerseyans Support Inflation Reduction Act but Don’t Think It Will Help Their Family Finances
New Jerseyans are cutting back on spending amidst rising prices, and while two-thirds support the Inflation Reduction Act, nearly the same number don’t think the legislation will be helpful to them personally, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton poll.
