As the New Jersey Legislature prepares to take hard look at the budget, residents have some clear preferences for how they want their tax money spent. The latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll finds increasingly strong support for environmental spending. Also, a large majority of taxpayers want more spent on programs for the poor, the elderly, and public schools.
