David Martin

Research Associate

Dr. David Martin is a Research Associate at the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling (ECPIP). His work at ECPIP involves sampling design, data analysis and visualization, constructing survey weights, and client management. He is also a part-time lecturer at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and in the political science department at Rutgers University.

David earned his PhD in political science from Rutgers University in 2025, studying monetary and banking policy in US history with a focus on the politics of financial crises. He has published on the historical development of US monetary institutions and Federal Reserve independence.

David currently sits on the PANJAAPOR Executive Council–the Pennsylvania and New Jersey regional chapter of AAPOR.
