Things are returning to normal again in New Jersey, at least as far as attitudes about the energy crisis and taxes are concerned, According to the latest New Jersey Poll, conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University, only 16 percent rate the energy crisis as “one of the most important issues facing the state of New Jersey” while 39% mention taxes. In early February, during the height of the gasoline shortage, 55% rated the energy crisis as “the most important problem” while taxes were cited by only 31 percent.
