Corning out of last Sunday’s presidential debate, George Bush has gained an edge over his Democratic rival Michael Dukakis among New Jersey voters on the all important issues of the economy and taxes. Also, Bush is now seen as the candidate most likely to provide strong leadership for the country, according to the latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll.
