THE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION–THE ISSUES: ECONOMIC CONCERNS DOMINATE

The economy is at the top of New Jerseyans’ list of problems that the new Governor will have to solve, according to the latest Eagleton Poll. The survey also showed that while about half of the state’s voters favor Republican Tom Kean’s plan to stimulate economic growth by cutting taxes, many are skeptical about the plan’s chances for success.
