THE 1995 NEW JERSEY ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS COMPETITION FOR THE INDEPENDENT VOTERS

Statewide, about equal percentages of likely New Jersey voters say they will vote for Republicans (37%) as say they will vote for Democrats (38%) in the Assembly races in their districts and I -in-5 voters are still undecided. At this time the independent voters who could be the key to winning in some districts, are not showing a preference for either party and l-in-5 of these independent voters remain undecided.
