ThE 1981 ELECTION; THE MOOD OF THE ELECTORATE

By better than a three—to—one margin, New Jerseyans feel that things have been getting worse rather than better in the state over the last few years, and that it is time for a change. But while this sentiment would appear to work to the Republican’s advantage in the upcoming legislative elections, only 4—in—lO of New Jersey’s registered voters know that the Democrats control the Senate and Assembly.
