A majority of New Jerseyans do not feel they have enough information to cast an informed vote in November’s election. Despite increased media attention to the New Jersey gubernatorial election,a statewide survey conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University found 55 percent saying they did not yet feel able to cast an Informed vote, while 41 percent did feel competent to make an informed choice between candidates. This is a marked improvement from July when only about one-quarter of those interviewed said they could cast an informed vote and three quarters said they could not.
