STATE SHARPLY SPLIT OVER REAGAN’S BITBURG VISIT

The New Jersey public is evenly divided over whether President Reagan should have gone to visit a German military cemetery in Bitburg, according to the latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll. Statewide, 38 percent said they approved of Reagan’s actions while 40 percent disapproved. The remainder expressed no opinion.
