RESPONSIVENESS AND INTEGRITY OF STATE GOVERNMENT AT HIGHEST LEVEL IN DECADE

New Jerseyans’ faith in their state government is at its highest mark in 10 years, according to the Star-Ledger/Eagleton. Poll. While many remain cynical about the political system, interviews with 804 state residents conducted between February 2 and 12 found a greater number of people believing that state government is responsive to the public and more describing politicians as basically honest than was found in surveys conducted in 1980 and through the 1970’s.
