REPUBLICAN TREND IN 1991 LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS

Statewide, more New Jersey voters favor Republican than Democratic candidates for the State Senate and the Assembly. Interest in this election is up considerably from 1987, the last election when all 180 seats were contested. About 4-in-b voters say they are very interested in the legislative races.
