NEW JERSEYANS FAVOR FURTHER SPENDING CUTS OVER TAX INCREASES

As the July 1 deadline for a state budget approaches, a new Rutgers-Eagleton Poll finds that New Jersey residents don’tapprove of Gov. Jon Corzine’s handling of the budget; they prefer budget cuts to tax increases, with tourism promotion, the arts, and roads and highways the top candidates for spending reductions.
