Public rating of Governor Byrne’s performance in office has increased for the first time in ten months

Public rating of Governor Byrne’s performance in office has increased for the first time in ten months according to the Eagleton Institute’s New Jersey Poll. The latest poll, conducted by the Rutgers University based institute, finds that 31 percent of New Jerseyans give the job the Governor is doing a positive rating of “excellent” or “good”—— up from 27 percent in January of this year. His performance is given negative ratings of “only fair” or “poor” by 61 percent, down from 67 percent in January.
