Public rating of Brendan Byrne’s performance as Governor has dropped sharply since March

The public’s rating of Brendan Byrne’s performance as Governor has dropped sharply since March, according to the Eagleton Institute’s New Jersey Poll. The latest poll conducted by the Rutgers University based Institute finds that 22 percent of New Jerseyans give the Governor a positive job rating of “excellent” or “good”—— down from 31 percent in March of this year. He is given negative ratings of “only fair” or “poor” by 71 percent——up from 61 percent in March.
