New Jersey’s public broadcasting television stations have dramatically increased the size of their audience

New Jersey’s public broadcasting television stations have dramatically increased the size of their audience during the past year. Figures released today by the Eagleton Institute of Politics of Rutgers University show that in January of this year 18.4 percent of those questioned by the New Jersey Poll reported that they or someone in their family had watched one of Jerseyvision’s four channels——23, 50, 52 or 58——in the preceding month. This represents a 47.2 percent increase since May of 1974 when the figure stood at 12.6 percent.
