NEW JERSEYANS UNIMPRESSED BY POLITICIANS: BUT NEW JERSEY POLITICIANS BETTER THAN MOST

New Jerseyans are cynical about politicians. According to the latest Eagleton Poll, Garden State residents think that many politicians are corrupt, self—interested, incompetent and only somewhat responsive to those who elected them However, the Rutgers—based poll of 1003 New Jerseyans also found that New Jersey politicians are thought of more favorably than politicians in general; and that politicians are not really considered to be any more corrupt than persons in other occupations.
