NEW JERSEYANS: TAXES ARE TOO HIGH; BUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING IS FAVORED

Although most New Jerseyans think their taxes are too high, they do not favor reductions in state and local spending. According to the latest Eagleton Poll, 7 out-of 10 Garden State residents felt more or the same amount of money should be spent on eleven government programs.
