NEW JERSEYANS SPEAK OUT ABOUT TAXES

A majority of New Jersey residents feel that the July 1990 tax program was necessary to balance the state budget; however, 6-in-10 state residents do not think these changes are acceptable. In addition, close to two-thirds remember feeling angry when they first heard about the new tax program and more than half say they are angry now.
