NEW JERSEYANS’ FEELINGS ABOUT NUCLEAR POWER: NECESSARY AND NERVOUS

New Jerseyans appear to be at an uneasy peace with nuclearpower, according to an Eagleton Poll conducted shortly after the accident at Three Mile Island. The Rutgers-based survey foundthat while support for nuclear power has declined and people are concerned about the safety factor, most still see nuclear poweras necessary for the country to meet its energy needs.
