New Jerseyans are willing to accept a state income tax but only if accompanied by property tax relief

New Jerseyans are willing to accept a state income tax but only if accompanied by property tax relief according to the latest New Jersey Poll. This statewide survey conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University finds that an income tax that would “provide for reductions in the local property tax” is favored by a 57 percent to 36 percent margin with 7 percent undecided.
