New Jerseyans Approve Casino Gambling; Believe Organized Crime Involved

While almost two—thirds of New Jersey residents favor casino gambling in Atlantic City, almost two—thirds also believe that “the people running the casino in Atlantic City may be connected to members of organized crime,” according to the latest Eagleton Poll. The Rutgers based survey, conducted between January 23 and February 2, found that supporters of legalized casino gambling in New Jersey’s shore resort outnumbered opponents by 64 to 30 percent with 6 percent undecided.
