New Jersey would vote for Kennedy for President

If an election for president between Gerald Ford and Edward Kennedy were held today, New Jersey would be safely in Kennedy’s column. The latest New Jersey Poll, conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University, finds Kennedy leading Ford 48 percent to 33 percent, with 19 percent undecided. When those “undecideds” who lean to one or the other of the candidates are included, Kennedy’s lead increases to 53 percent to 36 percent.
