Most New Jerseyans feel that the present prison system is working poorly

Most New Jerseyans feel that the present prison system is working poorly. The latest New Jersey Poll, conducted early last month by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University shows that only 20 percent agree that “our prisons are working well” while 64 percent disagree. An additional 16 percent offer no opinion on this subject.
