Most important issue facing New Jersey continues to be its economy

The most important issue facing New Jersey continues to be its economy, according to the respondents of the Eagleton Institute’s latest New Jersey Poll. The poll shows that almost half of all respondents – 49 percent – mention the economy when asked to name New Jersey’s most Important issue. This represents the latest increase in the steady trend since January 1973, when only 7 percent of a similar sample mentioned the economy.
