MONEY IN POLITICS: LOBBYISTS, LEGISLATORS, AND CAMPAIGN FINANCING

An overwhelming majority of B-in-10 New Jerseyans agree that lobbyists in New Jersey should be required to publicly disclose all money they spend on state legislators. According to a recent Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll, the public supports such full disclosure regardless of whether or not lobbyists are directly trying to influence a legislator’s action on any measure before the legislature.
