MONEY AND POLITICS: PACS AND PUBLIC FINANCING OF CAMPAIGNS

New Jerseyans are concerned about the influence of money in politics. Most residents think that campaign contributions make their representatives feel obligated to those who give them money, according to a recent Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll. In addition, more feel that Political Action Committees, known as PACs, exert a bad rather than good influence on the political process.
