Jimmy Carter or Hubert Humphrey would defeat President Ford in New Jersey

If the presidential election were held today, either Jimmy Carter or Hubert Humphrey would defeat President Ford in New Jersey, according to the latest New Jersey Poll. This statewide survey, conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Politics of Rutgers University, was completed in the first week of April, before the Wisconsin and New York primaries.
