The study sampled 78 arts and cultural organizations receiving direct
grants from NJ Arts Council and 158 organizations funded through county
arts organizations. The self-administered mail survey was designed to
estimate the nature and magnitude of the financial needs for New Jersey
arts and cultural organizations.

This telephone survey tracks statewide awareness and opinions of New Jerseys
public television station. CPIP used cluster analysis to develop a set
of typologies to describe different viewers. The survey instrument was
based on earlier studies conducted for the New Jersey Public Broadcasting
Authority in 1974, 1978, 1981, and 1988.

In anticipation of the RUNet 2000 integrated network, students in Rutgers
housing participated in focus groups and a survey on preferences for future
video services in university dorms. The survey was conducted with a split-half

first group was designed to aid in the development of an information delivery

The purpose of this study was to assess the perceived role of public library
services in Jersey City and library utilization among selected population
groups (African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Senior Citizens, and People

community leaders.

years at Rutgers. The study included student evaluations of the academic
environment, student services, resident experiences, and preparation for

of Library Services: Development of Survey Measurement Instruments (1991)
New Jersey State Library
Under a state library planning grant, CPIP worked with the New Jersey
State Library to develop a standard set of protocols to be used in public
libraries across the state. these protocols included self-assessment tools
and methodologies for local public libraries. A scientifically chosen
sample of 45 public libraries in the state participated in this pilot
study. CPIP later carried out evaluations in Bridgeton, East Orange, Irvington,
and Piscataway employing this process.
