There have been seven major figures in New Jersey’s recent political history–people who have run for and won statewide office, serving as Governor or U.S. Senator during the last two decades. And all seven are popular with New Jersey’s citizens. But one stands head and shoulders over the rest in terms of public regard–former Senator Bill Bradley, who retired in 1996. Bradley is thinking about running for President in the year 2000.
