EARTH DAY 1990 PROMISES TO INVOLVE MORE STATE RESIDENTS THAN EARTH DAY 1970

In New Jersey, public participation in Earth Day 1990 is likely to exceed that of Earth Day 1970. Four-in-ten state residents say they plan to take part in various Earth Day activities this year–this is about five times more than said they participated in 1970. According to the latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll, a majority feel that events like Earth Day make a difference in protecting and improving the environment.
