The latest Star-Ledger/Eagleton Poll finds Governor Christie Whitman’s job performance rating at its highest level since September. 1996. This is the first survey taken since the Governor announced that she was withdrawing as a candidate for the U. S. Senate seat currently held by Frank Lautenberg.
