CARTER SUPPORT SLIPS SLIGHTLY

Most New Jerseyans continue to give Jimmy Carter good marks for the job he is doing as President, including his handling of the economy and foreign policy. However, the proportion who evaluate Carter negatively has risen slightly, according to a poll conducted in late July by the Eagleton institute of Rutgers University.
