BYRNE JOB RATING UP BUT PUBLIC STILL DIVIDED ON INCOME TAX

Brendan Byrne’s job rating as Governor has continued to climb since his election, but New Jerseyans remain divided about the state income tax. The latest Eagleton Poll, conducted during the last week in January and the first week of February, found that 45 percent gave Byrne positive ratings of “excellent” or “good” while 52 percent gave him negative ratings of “only fair” or “poor.”
