BRADLEY MAINTAINS STRONG LEAD OVER WHITMAN

Democrat Bill Bradley holds a substantial 36 point lead over Republican challenger Christine Todd Whitman in the November race for a seat in the U.S. Senate. According to the latest Star Ledger/Eagleton Poll that was conducted between October 16 and October 22, 1990 with 546 likely New Jersey voters, Bradley overshadowed Whitman in the first campaign debate on Sunday, October 14. In addition, by a margin of 3 to 1, voters are more likely to have seen or heard Bradley campaign advertisements than those promoting Whitman.
