Almost 700,000 adults in New Jersey went crabbing in 1973, according to a recent poll conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Rutgers University. The poll was undertaken for Dr. James Applegate, Assistant Professor of Wildlife Biology at Cook College of Rutgers University, as part of a larger study of the recreational uses of New Jersey salt water areas.
