A TALE OF TWO LANDSLIDES: REAGAN AND BRADLEY IN NEW JERSEY

Although late deciders in the presidential election tilt toward Walter Mondale most New Jerseyens say they had their minds made up long ago and the Democratic candidate has been unable to make any significant inroads into Ronald Reagan’s commanding lead. A new Star-Ledger/Eagleton poll finds the President holding a 54 to 37 percent lead among likely voters with 9 percent remaining undecided.
