THE 1977 GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION, PART V: BATEMAN CONTINUES TO HOLD LEAD OVER BYRNE

Raymond Bateman, the Republican candidate for Governor, continues to lead Democratic Incumbent Brendan Byrne. The latest Eagleton Poll, conducted between September 20 and 27 finds New Jersey’s registered voters favor Bateman over Byrne by 46 percent to 39 percent with 13 percent undecided.
