A clear majority of New Jersey residents favor a state income tax, but only tied in with some guaranteed tax relief, according to the results of the second New Jersey poll conducted by the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.

President Nixon is given a positive rating by 51% of New Jersey residents

President Nixon is given a positive rating by 51% of New Jersey residents according to the second New Jersey Poll. Negative ratings were given by 46% and 3% offered no opinion. This compares with a 55% positive-44% negative rating reported in the latest Harris Survey.
